2026 ABT Examination Information
Beginning in 2026, the Board has established an application window for new candidates. The application window will open on March 1 and close on April 30. Applications can only be submitted during this time frame.

Time Requirements for Certification
The ABT Board of Directors has revised and reinstituted its prior examination attempts limit policy that was in effect from 1980-2007. This policy give unsuccesful candidates time to deepen their professional experience, while allowing the Board to maintain the integrity of the item pool. This policy takes effect January 1, 2027.
